Fossil shows how fish crept onto land - Science - MSNBC.com

Missing Link, Anyone?

This article, Fossil shows how fish crept onto land - Science - MSNBC.com shows us that the fabled "missing links" do exist. Transitional forms such as this have always been a bone of contention among scientists and the proponents of creationism. We very seldom come across an organism that so clearly establishes the road of true evolution as proposed by Charles Darwin. Though the evolution of new species can occur slowly, it can often occur in stochastic leaps, as proposed by Gould and Eldredge, so such intermediate forms are just not as common in the fossil record. We have yet to even scratch the surface of the diversity of living things as they toiled and struggled throughout the history of life on our small planet. It does my heart good to think that somewhere out there, good old Chuck is smiling as another of his hypotheses is discovered to be true. Take that ID'ers!
